Like many, I started with Profit Accumulator, and recently tried them again (see the next article, Oddsmonkey v Outplayedv Profit Maximiser)..

In this OddsMonkey review, I will explain the benefits and drawbacks of this matched betting software. Doing matched betting without a dedicated service is risky and time wasting. Plus, you are more likely to make costly mistakes.

OddsMonkey

The original matched betting service. After being only software providers to other services, they went full-scale in 2011 and launched a new, feature-packed site. It teaches users how to do matched betting simply, and removes the hassle.

It offers guides, tutorials, support and all the tools you need to be successful at matched betting. OddsMonkey supports you at all stages of matched betting, from tutorials to forum support..

Matched betting is a method to make legal and tax-free money. It is not gambling and works by placing bets on every outcome of a match so, other than some small qualifying expected losses, you never lose.

Oddsmonkey was founded by Paul King in 2011 as a UK site intended for the British sports betting market, and can be used in the UK or by expats living overseas and digital nomads.. You can use it for betting markets in other countries, but you won’t get the full benefit. As of 2024, Australia and the USA have emerging matched betting opportunities.

Is OddsMonkey Legit?

Yes it is legit and not a scam. The company who owns OddsMonkey is DotNetPages Limited, a private limited company registered at Companies House with the company number 07711804.

OddsMonkey also has an excellent rating on Trustpilot, with an average score of 4.8 out of 5.0. Overall, 95% of users rated them as great or excellent.

What Is Trustpilot?

Trustpilot is an independent consumer review platform. It has no affiliation with the sites mentioned in this post. On Trustpilot, users can anonymously rate and review companies they have used.

Overall, there are over 150 million reviews on Trustpilot. You can generally get a good understanding of the legitimacy and customer-friendliness of a company.

How Much Does Oddsmonkey Cost?

You can try the Free Trial and complete 2 offers, to make £40+

Then an upgrade to Premium Plan is needed, and will cost you £29.99 a month, or £249 for the year.

Scaling up to the All Access Package to access Casino Offers will cost you £49.99 a month or £349 for the year, saving you considerably.

OddsMonkey had only the Premium Plan originally, that gave users access to all features. Now, users must pay for All Access to access the casino section. Prices have also increased with inflation. It was £149.99 in 2017 but with all the added tools and features it is still a bargain of a tool. Think of it like a tool. Would you invest £250 on a tool that will easily make you £6000 a year, potentially lots, lots more? Ask a builder that question!

New users can get a free 30-day trial of OddsMonkey. During the trial, you learn to do matched betting and earn around £40.

At first, the offers and services can appear overwhelming. Oddsmonkey covers this with a simple step-by-step set of tutorials, each around 3-5 minutes. Just watch them and have a cup of tea, make notes if necessary, and ask the live chat if you are unsure of anything..

This start section has seven matched betting guides, helping you to make your first tax-free profit! Video guides help with bits beginners may struggle with. The tutorials are easy to understand.

Training

Once you have learned the basics, you are ready for the training section. This is when you need to upgrade. There are guides for everything you to know. All guides are text based. Videos would be helpful, but you can contact support if unsure.

What Matched Betting Sign-up (New Account) Offers Does OddsMonkey Have?

For the first couple of weeks most of your profit will come from new account offers. This is where the juicy profit lies, and is easy. OddsMonkey has a comprehensive list of new account offers. All offers also come with a detailed explanation. Offers are ranked according to their difficulty or profitability, so you can choose how best to spend your time on which offers, or just so the easy offers if you are learning or want an easy day.

How Many Sign-up Offers Does OddsMonkey Have?

With bookies coming and going and prior to major sporting events, sign-up offers change often. Bookmakers withdraw offers or make new ones. At the time of writing this review, there are:

What Reloads and Ongoing Offers Does OddsMonkey Have?

A vital tool of OddsMonkey is their daily offer calendar. This is where you can find all that day’s offers without having to search, like I had to do when starting out. It took aaaaages. I have over 100 bookie and casino accounts and could never check them all daily (they have a casino daily offers page too on the All Access package).

The offer calendar is invaluable but bookmakers change offers too, or send you personalised offers, so you still have to do some checking. I always check my emails and the bookmaker site home page each day anyway, for any offers, pop-ups, or messages in the bookmaker inbox. Being involved on OddsMonkey’s forums also helps..

What Reload Offers Does OddsMonkey Have?

At the time of writing , you can find the following existing customers offers on the site:

Sports Reload offers: 108 offers (including weekly bet clubs) worth £164.23 of guaranteed profit. There are also many offers which offer great value but we can't really put a figure on those such as racing reload offers and 2ups etc

What Features Does OddsMonkey Offer?

Oddsmatchers

As the original inventors of matched betting software, the oddsmatcher software is OddsMonkey’s key tool, copied by many but yet to be beaten. It finds close matches for maximum profit and saves time, as it is integrated with Smarkets and Betfair, meaning that you do not have to visit those sites to lay the bet. You just click “Lay The Bet” on a button on the calculator and hey presto! The bet is laid. Each Exchange adjusts your balances accordingly (including for Rule 4 errors or void bets). With Smarkets, by using the integrated oddsmather, you also get 0% commission! This saves literally hundreds of pounds per year! If you were looking for odds manually, you would rarely find the best odds. And placing fewer bets would mean less profit.

You can create and save different filters, which is useful. My default filters show results ideal for trigger bets like 2ups and rewards club qualifying bets. This means I can find the best matches with a single click. Then, I have other filters saved for free bets and other offers.

Racing and Extra Place Matchers

Once you are more advanced, with a bigger Bank, then the racing matcher and the extra place matcher are brilliant The racing matcher helps to find horses with close odds sorted by bookmaker and offer type. Horse odds change quickly, so having a tool to track the odds is crucial. Bets laid using the integrated matcher are ALWAYS matched at the very best price at the time it goes through, ensuring you never end up laying over the amount you staked. If the odds shift beyond your proposed lay bet odds, the lay will be unmatched and cancelled. This can also happen when there is not enough liquidity at the exchange, and happens often with horses, particularly in the last 5 minutes before the off.

The extra place matcher is helpful for similar reasons. Manually placing extra-place bets would not be worth the profit

Specialised Matchers

Apart from the main matchers, OddsMonkey has some more specialised matchers:

• 2up Matcher

• Dutching Matcher

• Each Way Matcher

• BOG Matcher

The new BOG matcher is great for finding close-matched horses with a good chance of winning, and possibly hitting BOG (Best Odds Guarantees). That’s when you get paid out extra if your horse wins at higher odds than you placed a bet upon. For example, a horse I put £50 Free Bet on at 3/1 (4.0_ won, and the SP (|Start Price) was actually 6/1 (7.0), so I received £150 EXTRA PROFIT. I was expecting to make £35 from it as it was a Free Bet. Great result! See the racing guide for more on BOG, as it is a HUGE extra potential profit maker.

The ongoing 2ups are the favourite offer of many seasoned matched bettors. This offer pays you as a winner when the team you bet on gains a two-goal lead. You can then make a profit by cashing out your lay bet or make even more if you let it run, and the team is winning 2-0 then draws or loses.. or if there is a “full turnaround”, meaning you have covered BOTH teams, one goes up 2-0, then it’s 2-2, then 2-4, then 4-4, and you get BOTH bookmakers paying out whilst the bet “lost”. These are obviously rare but do happen. The second example wins 6% of the time on average so 2ups are best done only with CLOSE MATCHES for a low Qualifying Loss, and on games you think there id a good chance of the triggers (2-0 up) happening..

Accumulator (Acca) Finder

The Acca Finder is great for identifying close match accumulators. Betting on a premade accumulator on Smarkets is easier than making your own

However, if you want to build an accumulator, OddsMonkey can help you. The Accumulator Finder finds suitable matches depending on the offer. After each match, update the calculator to get the correct lay stake. The calculator has different modes:

• No lay

• Lay at the start

• Lay sequential

• Lay sequential lock-in

Some matched bettors who make decent profits from no-lay accas, but this is not Matched Betting and more like Value Betting, which is another way to extract long-term profits over time. Value Betting tends to be a natural step for many matched bettors once the free bet offers dry up, or simply because Value Betting takes far less time. It is also slightly more risky though. This is everything you need and more. I haven’t used most of them. They are very niche; you only need them for specific offers, if at all..

Profit Tracker

The best introduction in my opinion in recent years has been the OddsMonkey has a built-in profit tracker that records your bets by clicking a button in the Oddsmatcher and most calculators. It’s brilliant at tracking profits. You can see in one of my images that my own Profit Tracker shows over £10K.... and this is not including anything I made before its introduction, or inplay, or accas, or casino profits.

The Analysis section lets you examine your profits in detail. This helps to identify areas you neglected and can make more from. You can also find patterns in your profit and see your long-term success, or where you have maybe not been doing so well and wasting your time.

The profit tracker is adequate and fit for its purpose. Yet, there is room for improvement. I know many matched bettors who keep their own spreadsheets. We offer one on Excel or Google Docs that will do everything you need. In fact it’s better than the one offered by Outplayed.

What Is OddsMonkey’s Casino Section Like?

There is a huge section of risk-free, no-deposit offers to complete before touching your own cash. Once done, there are a load of EV+ deposit offers that can be made more profitable by combining with CASHBACK deals. Once those offers and similar reload offers are being done with confidence, you can easily step up to low-risk offers, then medium risk. Building your Bank and only ever using a % of it ensures you never lose, over time.

That said, casino offers are not without risk. You will lose money some days. However, the statistics are in your favour. Over time, you should make more than you lose. In 7 years, I have had just 5 months I was down, and the worst of that was £47..it's just variance and will go in your favour.

OddsMonkey’s casino hub has five sections:

The Slots Database is a handy feature enabling you to find the best slot on a casino site, although a quick google search on each bookie does the same and is more likely up to date. Just search eg “Paddy Power best slot RTP” and check the results.

What Is the Community Like?

OddsMonkey’s forum is a place to connect to other matched bettors and is responsive, supportive and fun. If you are in trouble, like an unlaid bet and now it’s in play, ask a member. Within minutes some Oddsmonkey staff member or forum warrior will help.

OddsMonkey has a famous Price Boost No Chat and Casino Offers No Chat thread. Here, members post profitable price boosts, and casino reloads. And it is what it says . NO CHAT. Just boosts found, shared. Price boosts are higher odds as part of a promotion. They are a quick and easy profit if you find them and the same as arbitrage betting, which is another way to profit from bookmakers, especially those you may be gubbed from!

The threads are free from conversations. You can turn notifications on or connect your mobile phone via PushBullet. Price boosts are short-lived, so live notifications are essential.

Does OddsMonkey Offer Support?

OddsMonkey offers incredible customer service. Ask if you have a problem or question, and you will get help.

A few times I have placed a bet on and messed up the lay bet, asked on the forum or live chat and it’s sorted.

Their staff have a wealth of experience and are nearly all matched bettors themselves.. (NOTE- Ypu can talk freely about matching your bets to Smarkets and BetConnect also, they do not mind at all you are matched betting, in fact they encourage it!)

Is OddsMonkey Worth It?

Yes, OddsMonkey is worth it. If you want to know how to start making money online with matched betting for free, this is the place. Try the free trial and see how it works. If you want to do matched betting properly, you need a subscription. OddsMonkey will make matched betting far easier. You will save time and make more profit. Think what I said earlier about a tool that costs £250 that will return you x25 that investment….you won’t think on it long! Are There Alternatives to OddsMonkey?

If you want to do matched betting without OddsMonkey, there are some alternatives:

Best matched betting service for beginners? OddsMonkey is perfect- it offers all the necessary guides and tutorials. It also provides a comprehensive list of new account and reload offers for beginners to carry on, or for the more advanced of us to keep on making an income from it.
